Welcome to Social Democrats, Kansas (SDUSA KS). We are a grassroots initiative that is member-driven. We are working to advocate for Social Democracy in Kansas.
Our members strive to hold up Social democratic ideals in there day to day life. We want to make life easier for families, the disabled, elderly and others in need.
Social democracy matters in Kansas
Social democracy in Kansas is our objective. The inequalities that the average Kansas citizen faces can be reduced by implementing Social Democracy. That goes for the small-town farmer or the big-city resident.
This matters more now than ever for Kansas, because Kansas has to get ahead of the game when competing with her neighbors, who already have legalized cannabis and a higher minimum wage, among other progressive qualities. These qualities have only proven to help neighboring states. Why hasn’t Kansas followed through after others? Kansas can be the first one to reach the 22nd century and we believe it’s possible with Social Democracy.
These policies range from mainstream ideas like Medicare for all, access to higher education, legalizing cannabis and broader initiatives. Social democracy isn’t a radical idea, but one for the common Kansas citizen. This is because Social Democracy is a moderate approach.

Call to action:
We want to mobilize people to vote and have people engage in the civil processes. The organization asks that when voting that you choose the best candidate for the office, based on policy and character. When its not an election cycle we ask that people still engage with the system as to keep those we elect in constant check.
Be sure to attend local meetings for the latest information on local offices. Local offices is where the activism gets done politically. The issues from the local usually go to the state. Democracy is the strongest when people engage it. That is why we advocate for civil participation.
