Running for something?
If you are a candidate and are looking for endorsements, then that process is easy enough. The main requirement is to be running in Kansas, and then it’s being aligned with our polices (doesn’t have to be all of them). The endorsements are given out by the chapter committee exclusively for direction purposes, but all members may lobby for their candidates.
SDUSA, KS also encourages anyone that is capable to run for local offices. It can be tough running a campaign, but with the right mindset and tools it’ll be breezy. If you want to run for something then contact us

Gary Enrique Bradley-Lopez – A new face to the BPU at large.
He is a dedicated educator and community advocate who has earned the endorsement of the Kansas chapter of Social Democrats USA (SDUSA) for the Board of Public Utilities (BPU) in Kansas City, Kansas. His candidacy reflects a commitment to social democratic values, emphasizing public accountability, environmental sustainability, and community-centered governance.
Colin Roberts — Candidate for Kansas’s First Congressional District
Colin Roberts is a prospective Social Democrat committed to proving that social democratic policy delivers real, tangible benefits to rural Kansas. His mission is twofold: flip Kansas’s First District blue and, over time, help turn Kansas into a reliably Democratic state by showing that working-class, agricultural, and rural communities thrive when public policy works for them—not against them.
