SDUSA, KS thinks that adults have the right to alter there body with chemicals. That’s what drugs are, just chemicals interacting with the brain. We push for decriminalizing all drugs and instead opting for rehabs and rehabilitation centers.
The drug epidemic is a mental one and can be solved with enough education and research into what the drug does, how its used and the potential health benefits. non-violence drug offenders should be put on probation or diversion.
Drugs that produce a similar effect to THC should be readily available to buy and sell legally. That includes other psychoactive substances like acid, LSD and or mushrooms.
Alcohol and cigarettes kill more then most drugs. why aren’t they treated the same? because they can be taxed higher! we say other legalized substances could also be taxed higher. The good thing about the tax is if you don’t use then you don’t pay it.
Representative Coleman introduced HB 2288 that sought to decriminalize the possession of drugs in Kansas and make a new offense for failure to comply with drug abuse treatment.
