We advocate for HB2026 which requires all persons to be 18 years of age or
older to be eligible to give consent for marriage, while clarifying a three day waiting period for applying and receiving a marriage license. That means people under the age of 18 can no longer get married, even with parents or judges permission. This bill is by representative Sawyer Clayton who is a democrat serving from 2013 to now.
